I'm not unhappy about the replies, just the way some of them are delivered. I'll quite happily go through a qualified gas specialist, but one that will talk to me in a reasonable manner without trying to belittle me. I only wanted some advice whether this was a job I could undertake myself, if I can't then I can't but don't treat me like an idiot for asking.

I can see I'm not going to get any help here. I'm not fiddling, I'm asking questions before I fiddle,

no one is calling you an idiot but you have already taken the cover off so you are fiddling and if your happy to get a gas specialist why are you fiddling just for one night of heat . doesn't it occur to you its for your safety
