My Focal Point gas fire was installed 6 years ago and has been fine. However, I went to turn it on the other day and it won't start. The fan in the flue at the back of the fire (located on the outside of the external wall) powers up then it clicks off as though the fan hasn't got up to speed. This continues until I turn off the power.
I suspect there is some safety mechanism at work here that does not allow the fire to be ignited without enough draw from the extractor fan.
Can anyone suggest some basic checks I can do or offer some advice on what part could be failing and the best place to get any spares?
Thanks
LF
