I'm about to replace my draughty, poorly secured and single glazed French doors with folding sliding doors.
I have been quoted £2,200 (ex VAT) for this work (in South London). I will be providing the doors.
The expense is due to the fact that the new doors are wider and shorter than the existing French doors, necessitating a double I-beam below the existing lintel and the removal of two columns of bricks (and obviously the making good after the structural work).
With this in mind, does this seem like a fair quote?
