My 1995 Ford Escort stalls when the engine is cold, in order to start the engine higher revs than usual are needed, also when the car is moving it frequently stalls unless high revs are maintained. As soon as the engine is running warm, the car is fine and the problem disappears completely. I was thinking this could be a choke problem, but wasnt sure. Your comments would be much appreciated.

If it's carburettor engined then check the warm air pipe from the exhaust manifold is still sttached. Probably got some sort of warm up valve on the inlet too somewhere.
If it's fuel injected then it'll be the temp sender thats shot

Thanks very much. Its carb, not fuel-injected this happened shortly after having the downpipe replaced by my local garage, im now wondering whether that had something to do with it. :)
