Hi there.i have just bought a house with a kitchen to the front of the property.i must say I'm not a lover of this style but due to personnel issues and not many properties available in my area that suit the criteria I needed I had to take it as the rest of the property is lovely.
Anyway enough waffle. I have never had a house with a kitchen that faces the main road before so I find it strange cooking whilst people turn their heads and view what I am doing.i would close the blind but during the day I want to see the outside.is there anyone who is in the same style house that can give me any ideas please.i have always found it strange why people want passers by to see what they are cooking or other things over the kitchen table.ha ha.
Thank you anyone who can help.

Amongst other places a local signwriter - it is used a lot in their trade - they should also be able to cut patterns in it as well as install it if required. There are also a number of specialised firms supplying this sort pf material by post like Window Wallpaper

Cheap net curtains?

Or you could fit some of that mirror effect window tinting film that's used in cars. It does darken the window slightly (about 15% loss of incoming light IIRC, like a very light tint pair of sunglasses), and of course it works best if the outside of the house is lighter than the inside, or if the sun is shining towards the kitchen window it would work better.
