I have just had a new Karndean floor put down in the kitchen and there is now a 1/4 inch gap between the floor and skirting. I don't want to caulk it as it will look messy, does anyone have any tips on what to do? I don't want to replace all the skirting. Thanks.
Typically, scotia mouldings are used to cover the gap. Sometimes the scotia is stained to match the flooring or pre-painted to match the in-place skirting.
Both wood effect and pre-painted mouldings are available off the shelf.
