Planning permission has just been agreed. The original plan (after a few beers with a mate who builds timber frame houses) was to timber frame the garage.
My mate is so unreliable I sourced a brickie (wifes cousin) who is going to help me do the brickwork first, single skin with reinforced piers and then baton out from the inside in timber frame (I wanted it warm and keep options open for possible change of use this is also CHEAPER!)
Now I’m thinking shall I just block and brick it seeing as I have a bricky to help?
I have marked out t he foundations ready for the JCB with a 500mm bucket will this need to be changed if doing block and brick i.e made bigger?
