Hi i am connecting new electrics into a new garage i already have electrics which come off the main house CU. It looks like the existing electrics are the type used for internal sockets. I will be connecting a fridge, freezer and a cross cut mitre saw in the garage. The existing cable from the house needs to be replaced with a armour type cable. Not sure what thickness though either 2.5mm or 4mm. I am also intending to fit a new garage Consumer unit. I am also planning for the future and need to install another cable down to the end of the garden for a Gym (at a later date). which will have about four double sockets/ lights etc and plug in electric heaters. Will i be able to run it from the garage CU or would it be better from the main CU in the house, the cable will be running about 120 ft to the end of the garden. Can anyone help.
