Gas Meter in Cloakroom?

As the question really, I'm doing some feasibility for the redevelopment of the layout of a dwelling and thinking of moving the downstairs cloakroom. The gas and elec meters are currently in an 1100 high cupboard inside the house (currently the entrance hall). If this entrance hall became the new cloakroom with WC and basin can I keep the meters insitu?
