Hi
A few years ago, we had to replace a boiler in our ground floor flat and the new 22mm pipework was surface mounted around the property due to cost and time. We are now considering replacing the flooring and thinking of lifting floor boards to relocated the ugly pipe underneath in a bedroom and a kitchen. However, our builder suggested that we could run gas pipe under the bedroom floor and outside into the rear garden and around a Victorian bay window, avoiding having to lift flooring in the kitchen and notching joists. Is this permitted and are there any potential issues with this? We'd would use a Gas Safe registered engineer to do necessary pipe work/reconnection.
Thanks in advance
