i have a gas fire in my front room which i want to remove. The gas feed for the fire comes from my boiler in the kitchen the pipe runs behind my cooker and all of my units through the wall to the fire . what i would like to do is get the pipe cut behind my cooker with a cooker conection for when i get my new cooker, (hope this makes sense), i just phoned british gas and the quoted me £190 just to cut a pipe and put an cooker connection in surely this is really expensive for whats in-volved , im happy to remove the remainder of the pipe my self
