Surely it depends on the type of DHW supply too?
I've just done the exact same thing. I piped a downstairs cloak for hot using 10mm microbore from the upstairs hot tank. Since I have mains pressure hot it takes < 10 seconds for hot water to arrive and the flow down approx 10M of microbore is more than adequate
I'd imagine it might be a bit dribbly if it was running off a gravity system
