On my landing i have a door that leads to the attic. The attic is nicley lit during the day because of the Velux windows. The landing is quite dark so I want to add just 1 row of clear glass blocks from floor level to roof level at the side of the door. The wall is a studded wall with a fire door in it there is about 2 to 3 foot of plasterboarded wall where I want to put the bricks.

Is it just a case of ripping of the old plaster board at the side of the door and building a frame to enclose the glass blocks then putting them on top of each other?

I take it they are also good with the fire regs?

Thanks.
