When running hot water, the temperature reaches a certain level then the boiler makes a clicking sound and the pilot turns off.
The water then goes cold for around 20 seconds untill the pilot light then re-ignites.
The temperature gradually increases again until hot, then the pilot turns off and the water turns cold again.
This cycle keeps repeating itself, making it impossible to have a shower or run a bath.
I assume this is some sort of overheating mechanism kicking in, but even after turning the water temperature dial down the problem still persist making no difference to the temperature.
