Glowworm Ultimate 50ff

boiler problems yet again. Have a ultimate 50ff boiler which fails to fire up most of the time

When the boiler is called for the following happens on the circuit board

The Switch Live, and thermostat, and air pressure switch are successful and lights leds, pilot / PCB proved led remains unlit although the pilot light ignites but the ignitor continues to fire as if the pilot has not be detected.

Stays in this state for about an hour and then all of a sudden the boiler will fire pilot / pcb proved led comes on and boiler works normally until it is no longer called for. The process then repeats itself when called for again latter

Any idea

yep i'll try there first as rob also thought it may be that. should the electrode actually be in the pilot flame or just below. it's currently just below and as i said just continues to spark even when the pilots lit

ok i'll have a look at that today. How does the system know when the pilot is lit as theres appears to be no thermo-coupler. technology obviously moved on from days

Great, i've given it a clean out and hay presto it's firing up first time every time. Thanks for the free advice, probably save a small fortune or being ripped off.
