hi does anybody have any ideas if there are any grants available for doing up an old farmhouse, it needs plumbing, wiring, damp proofing, central heating etc

the house is in wales and is a couple of hundred years old, its got to be done but if there is any financial help it would obviously be well received

thanks for any answers

There were replacement grants here in NI a while back where you demolished the ole house when the new one was built.

Know one family where three replacements were built on the various lands that they owned and they did most of the building work them selves, then bunged a local builder to sign it off with a well jacked up price.
Had them built for next to nothing.
They own about three hundred acres of land and 250 head of livestock and have been on the dole a life time. They also get about 100k per year of farm subsidies. Money goes to money.
If you know how to fiddle the system then the easy money flows in. Just fill the forms in appropiately to suit your self. Pen and paper refuses nothing.
The main thing is to tell plenty of lies in a similar fashion as a modern politician. I realise if your an ordinary working man/englishman you might find that difficult.
Good luck.
