Last year i treated some fencing. On the North side, it was already green with that powdery algi stuff (not sure what you call it really!).

I did rub off the worst with a wire brush, but it has since come back with vengance. The treated wood has gone green again.

Anyone know a sollution to this please?

The treatment was DIY own brand. What is the opinion of this stuff compared to the branded stuff? Am i wasting my time using sub standard treatment?

Ive previously blasted this green stuff off my fences with a high pressure jet wash. Then treated with preservative again. Seems to delay its regrowth somewhat.

Guess it because its on the north side and doesnt get the sun.
