Groaning pipes

Hi,

New here and there seems to be a lot of knowledge about so i'm hoping i can pick your brains.

I recently moved house and have had to remove the hot and cold tap in the kitchen temporarily, this was easy enough and have used stop cocks to blank off the pipes temporarily.

However, now whenever the toilet is flushed there is a loud groaning noise, i think from the pipes, that did not happen before i removed the taps.

Are these in anyway related, and if so how can i get rid of the groaning noise?

are you sure its coming from the pipes?
