I live in a terrace house and my gutter is always overflowing when it rains.
I've just found out that my neighbours on both sides have a smaller gutter size then me. if I change my gutter to the same size as theirs will this solve the problem.

It sounds like the gutter just cant handle the volume of water due to the lack of downcomers.....of course, connecting smaller gutters into a larger one isn't the easiest thing to do!
John :)

If one of your neighbours has the down pipe for the three houses you, presumably, are in the middle of the flow - so having larger gutters should be a good thing for you, the overflow should happen to the furthest away house gutter.

However, if your guttering is sagging, or leaking at the transitions between gutter sizes then either could be a cause of the cascading water.
