hi

can anyone advise me where i can purchase the h05 ss - f cable that my ceramic hob requires ??

Your local electrical wholesaler should be able to get that for you -
It will depend on the size of cable required - 4mm three core rarely in stock and works out about £4 metre. For size of 2.5mm three core some sheds sell them.

Must admit that most people just fit the equivalent in T&E.
 
no one stocks ss cable which is strange, its 2.5 mm, i ahve even called an electrician who would never use ss cable and use rr max

can anyone shed any light on this ?

The properties of the cable quoted by the manufacturers seems excessive for there purpose - ceramic hob. Being able to withstand 180c I can understand but for what purpose is the -55c minimum temperature needed? Do you live in a igloo :eek:

Depending on the power output of your hob, you have a couple of choices. Either go to an equivalent heat/cold resistant like this...
