Apologies if this isn't the correct forum

I need to hang a glass shower screen onto an internal wall made of stramit board, overboarded with what looks like hardie board. The wall will be tiled.

For those not aware what stramit is, it's basically really compressed straw, with paper facing each side. It's about 60mm thick.

Anyone familiar with fixing to this setup able to give me any advice re best fixings to use?

The other side of the wall is at the top of the stairs so I cant really attach some wood to screw into as it'll be really noticeable. Also not in a position to replace the wall.

Thanks!

Darren

As long as the hardybacker is fixed properly, you can then fit the screen to this with normal brown wall plugs.
