HI CAN ANYONE HELP,I HAVE A HEATLINE CONDENSE BOILER 3 YEARS OLD,WHEN I RUN HOT WATER IT GOES TO 30 DEGREES AND CUTS OUT,THE HEATING WORKS FINE,I WAS TOLD BUY AN ENGINEER IT NEEDS A POWER FLUSH £500, WOULD THE HEATING STILL WORK FINE IF IT NEEDED FLUSHED.. THANKS [/b]

Could be plate HE needs cleaning or the DHW thermistor.

Can't see that a full flush would cure this problem.

THANKS FOR THAT,THE ENGINEER CLEANED THE HE 2 MONTHS AGO,THE HOUSE HAS BEEN EMPTY 2 DAYS AFTER HE DID THAT,WHEN I EXPLAINED THIS ,THEN HE SAID IT WOULD NEED A POWER FLUSH,AS WELL ,DID NOT MENTION DHW thermistor,

If you only clean the secondary HE there can be enough dirt in the boiler to just block it up again within a few hours.

I expect he is one of those less scrupelous people who first say they will clean the HE and then find its worse that they expected and want another £500 to power flush the system.

We charge £136 to clean the plate, about £180 to clean the plate and the boiler and about £350 to power flush including the boiler and plate ( if there are not too many rads ).
