Help - no power at boiler

I have no power at the boiler. have checked fuses ok. It would appear the Sunvic tlx room stat is not getting signal to the boiler. when i turn the stat up until it clicks i can see a spark between the contacts. Should the contacts be closed when the stat needs heat or do they stay open

Without full details of your system I cannot make any comments.

It needs testing with a meter by someone competent to use a meter for testing CH systems.
