HI CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE?

I have a Valliant turbo max combi boiler and intermitantly it fails to ignite and it goes into safe mode and the red light comes on. We have had British Gas round yesterday and they fitted a new diverter valve so we know its not that. I think it's a different fault and wondered if anyone had any ideas. Eventually after lots of switching on and off I can get it to ignite.

Call them out again thats what your paying for.

There are many reasons for a lock out on this boiler.

Yeah we will have to call them back. Was just a little worried that they would say it WAS a different fault and charge us a fortune again

How much did they charge for changing the diverter valve? My part cost me approx £85 ish + a plumber charged me £25 to put it in (approx 15-20 min job)

If your boiler still isn't working- why + how did they diagnose the diverter as faulty? If the problem proves to be elsewhere shouldn't that prove that the diverter change wasn't required + therefore u be compensated?
