Hi all
Hoping for some help on connecting a cloakroom sink waste to an existing waste.
Initially I’d expected to take it out and replace the full length of waste pipe but now I’ve got the boxing off, it’s apparent it would be much easier to join to the original if I can.
The existing waste is copper pipe and external diameter about 35mm measured with vernier callipers (I’m assuming imperial 1 and 1/4 inch?)
Standard plastic waste pipes now seem to be 40mm. I’ve seen there are compression joints that screwfix do but these seem to either suit 30-38mm or 38-45mm e.g. https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast...3Ji2OEDuaipiN3x-ouRoCH2cQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
When the sink is swapped I’m expecting that I may need to cut the waste a bit lower before joining, as new sink in a vanity unit may need relocating a bit, hence was looking at something like this.
Hoping for some advice how I could approach joining with the two different sizes involved.
Thanks.
