Hi i want to control the pressure of water to my basin can i use the shut off valve although im concern this will hiss.or should i go with a gate valve/stop cock .

im using hep2o products .i dont want to balance the whole system as i need more pressure on the bath.

You need to control the flow rather than pressure, this can be done using "access control valves". They are service valves with inserts which you can select to give the required flow rate. Open the tap to the point you consider to be a maximum, then measure the flow rate. B.E.S sell valves called "flow regulator ball valves". using a gate valve or a ball valve to control the flow (like wot I do) is a krap way to do it. :)
