HI i have an old Ideal Elan boiler rs 55 conventional which although old, and basic has proved to be a very efficent boiler, until now , just recently when we needed more heat due to the cold weather i have switched the boiler to high setting, the Elan only has low or high, well after about 20 mins the pilot light goes out, i presume its the high heat thermostat that is faulty,by not turning off before overheat cuts off the gas,am i right? because it works fine in the low setting, but just not quite hot enough, could someone just confirm,if i may be right before i order new hot and cold stats or advise on anything else i need to look at thanks
ps anyone got a manual for this boiler or know where to download one from?
