After the winds this weekend, I noticed quite a few polystyrene beads in the garden and have established they've come out of a 1-inch diameter hole in the exterior of the house about an inch form the ground - I'm guessing this hole is left from when the insulation was pumped intot he house (1930s house) and wasn't sealed properly.
What's the best way of sealing this up - I've read and had conflicting recommendations about caulk, buying a small amount of ready-mix mortar, using expanding foam (and, conflictingly, how rats will eat it all). Can someone give some guidance as to the best way to repair this hole for good, and so it doesn't look to unsightly (bath stone).
Thanks
