holes for down lights

Was going to ask this question + a few others!

Im looking to know whats the best way of drilling the holes in the ceiling?

go slowly (adjustable speed of drill) or just go full on?

slow and dont push hard, then it wont chip plaster, once through plaster you can go faster


btw what do u use, large hole saw or a proper cutter (with single blade) ?

Will be using a hole saw (the one that goes onto the end of a drill) will be borrowing it from my uncle.
