How can I tell if a motorized valve (honeywell) is faulty by just removing the case off the actuator head?

You can check that the microswitches are doing their job with the head off using a multimeter. This won't tell you if the valve is working though.

you can see if synchro motor runs or not.(but cant tell if it has power to it)

hi agaian-i think it is faulty as some rads warm when only the h/w is on! obviously it isn't closing fully! i have heard you can tell if it is faulty as the spindle or something or lever moves too freely/wobbly? or if it is the mototr gone how can you tell this?? thanks..

Is it a fully pumped system?

Is it a 2-port or 2-port zone valve?

Why don't you slow down when typing?
