Or do you want to see something other than the two pictures I've posted?

Yes i've done that but want to see more of the pipework around the valve area.
I can see the rad side go's down, thats it.

I still think you have an airlock around the valve.
I'd be inclined to slacken a valve nut to release any air if any.

Sorry, I was taking these and uploading while you replied.

Hang on- I'll go and take some more

Looking at the valve both pipes to cyl/rads come out and go downwards.
you have no where for air to escape.

you could have a blocked cold feed, (not enough water in the system), do you have any manual vents in the airing cupboard (thumb vents)??

Not sure about the thumb vents. How would I tell?

Thumbscrew vent.

hate them things, always blockup, leak, thumb screw more like stillsons

Sorry about the pump

Not sure whether there's a 2 port valve - things are pretty tight in there!

I have, as suggested, loosened the nuts around the T valve and some air did escape. I now have very hot water flowing from both sides of the valve although, as yet, I have no warmth in any of the rads - suggest that's a daytime job along with balancing the system and bleeding the rads.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions so far today

Andy

"how are you sure it is working?"

When I put my hand around it I can feel the blades whirring around inside and can hear the water being pushed along the pipes.

The water is also now flowing reasonably well
