The machine stops after the first wash (after about 4 minutes). It still has water in and if I turn the dial manually by one click or disconnect then reconnect the pressure hose it will continue the cycle but will continue filling with water and start leaking.

A couple of weeks ago the problem I had was that the machine wouldn't perform any of the fast spins. After cleaning the outlet pipes I disconnected the pressure hose at the switch end (if that's the round plastic thing stuck inside by the lid) and heard the air rush out as the machine then entered a fast spin cycle.

Thinking that at least that was a short term solution I did that for the next few washes but on one of the washes the machine wouldn't stop filling with water right from the start. I checked the pressure bottle at the bottom of the machine and it was full of gunk so I emptied it and ran another cycle. Now I have the problem of it stopping after the first wash.

Absolutely any help appreciated. This old machine has never given me any problems before, and I'm too strapped for cash to even buy a second hand one at the moment.

Failing that, does anyone know of a clean river?

A point to remember if removing the hose at the pressure switch is that the vessel can then fill up with water and will then not work correctly when you try the machine. For this reason you need to spin out any water to empty the vessel before proceeding with a wash.
