Hotpoint FDW70 Dishwasher

I have a Hotpoint FDW70 and it the detergent/tablet compartment doesn't open during the cycle to release the tablet.

I'd appreciate it if somebody could point me in the right direction regarding this problem.

No, it doesn't get hot.

Oh yes, heater gone very common next thing circulation pump will go , they have bought out modified ones now.

Is it worth replacing the heater then?

Is it pretty simple to do?

Yer easy to do if you are good. Tip dishwasher on it's back , base unclip and heater twists off the circulation pump. Reuse old clips on the heater otherwise u will split the pipes when you put new ones on. Heater will cost about 40 quid if you are unsure how to do it hotpoint will do it all on parts and lab 99.00
