Hotpoint TCM570 - Problem 1 - Drying time question

G

gcltd

Hi, our tumble dryer (bought second hand) seems to take far to long to fully dry clothes.
Its a 7kg machine and I put in a small load 2/3 kg (not even half full) and after 90mins its still damp, 40 mins still not fully dry - 30mins and its done.

It is obvious there is a problem?

Thanks

Is the condenser down the bottom clean. That means hosed out and left to dry before replacing it.

Hi, yes I hosed it out today, left all afternoon then fitted. Thanks

Try the other things I said on your other post.

Hi, Re drying I have tried all suggested checks and the drying time is simply too long.

I replaced the heating element by taking off the rear (banjo) cover the other week - does this cover need to be resealed shut as this could be loosing heat - hence taking a long time to dry?

Thanks
