Problem started in the middle of a very gentle wash cycle (woollens). The machine stopped working and tripped the switch in the fuse box.

After most of the water drained out (which it did automatically) the door lock released and I was able to get the washing out.

I can't get the machine to do anything - except display an error message "F-12". Can anyone tell me what this error message means? Is it something that I can sort out?

So I've tried:-
* unplugging the machine (and leaving it unplugged over night)
* undoing the water hoses and cleaning the filters
* kicking the darn thing (joke)

but I'm still getting the same message.

Any advice mich appreciated. Thanks

f12 is comcuication problem ,why did it trip fuse ,you need a meter to check things ie heater ,motor your pcb is poss shot, call hotpoint parts and labour 100 quid or scrap it ,a new pcb would cost you about 80.00 but it could go bang once you fit it
