hello, can some one please help me, i have a hotpoint washer dryer wd640, but the drying cycle is in mode but does not heat up, thanks, went to currys and they dont want to no

I had similar problem with my whirpool ( but mine was well out of it's guarantee )

I'm sure they all work the same way. Mine was down to fluff stuck on what i would guess are thermostats positioned on the pipe that carries the hot air. There was one just after the fan which just had two screws holding it on. I just cleaned off the fluff.

One off them also has a small red "switch" which i guess is some sort of trip to protect the thing overheating (?)

still call hp, its free, and it may need cleaning internaly, not a diy job, and as an ex hp engineer, not a nice job anyway
