Hi,
I have inherited this boiler. It is a 45kW TRIANCO TRO 37/45 oil boiler. Probably about 30 years old.

I let the oil run out completely and have now refilled the tank with 500l.
Before I try to start the boiler I am wondering if I need to bleed the pump to get all the air from the oil line.
I've been looking for a bleed screw near the bottom of the pump housing but can't see anything obvious.
Also, can anyone tell me why the brass valve (inline on the copper pipe) has a left-hand thread on the circular thumb-wheel. If this a valve to adjust the flow / turn oil supply on/off / other reason...?
Any tips?
Ian
