I've been getting water coming in through pebbledash on a bay window, and causing damp. I've been advised to seal it with Thompsons Water Seal, but obviously it's best to do this when it's nice and dry. (I've also been advised to seal the joints with the brickwork with silicone.)
How would I know when it's sufficiently dry? It's been dry here for at least a week, and reasonably sunny although obviously not baking.
I gave it a good squirt yesterday with some Patio Magic as an anti mould/ fungal, so that will have dampened things.
FWIW, the instructions on the Thompsons say it can be applied to 'damp but not saturated' surfaces.
OK to do it now, or should I wait for a heatwave in high summer to avoid sealing in the damp?
Thanks
