I have a Accenta 6 house alarm. I have French doors on the rear of the house with a magnetic sensor, just had a conservatory fitted, can I add 3 more sensors (1x PIR and 2 magnetic door sensors) onto the French doors to cover my conservatory? There is a 12v supply and believe circuits are normally closed type.

Neighbours have been burgled recently and I work nights so want it safe for wife and kids.

Thanks

Jay

It's possible, but not good practice these days to have more than one device per zone. If it's 6 core cable and the panel has a free zone, then at the very least wire that to the PIR and keep it and the contacts separate.

Panels like the 12 zone Galaxy G2 (and many others) are so cheap these days, it's better to swap out the panel and keep to one zone per sensor. With these panels, you can individually zone your pir and 3 contacts all on a 6 core cable if need be.

Thanks, problem I have is getting the wiring from the box to the zone - I'll check the cabling to see if it is 6 core, may solve my problem :D
