ive just installed some new copper pipe upstairs. i was careful, but if there was to be any leaks where i used fittings for bends, how soon would the leaks be noticeable, would it be straight away when running the c/h??

Can you not inspect the joints?

What type of joints are they?

Paul.

its all run in copper, including all bends. im just being cautious as im not a plumber, and want to make sure there are no leaks. if i run the system would a like be visible on any bends straight away or could it occur the following day etc>?

you dont say how you created the bends are they compression or soldered joints

Could be:
1. Straight away
2. Flux could be holding back leak, so when system gets hot.
3. I've been to leaks on old system where solder didn't take properly but no signs of leaking until several years later.

So take you choice - anything from straight away to years!
