Hi,
I'm considering replacing the wooden fascias, soffits and bargeboards on the house with white uPVC (thinking about my old age and want a low maintenance solution.)
Most of the houses in this area of town (Aberdeen) have been done and nearly all of them seem to have been attached with nails (plastic headed for PVC).
The ones that don't appear to have been nailed (ie no visible marks / nails on the fascia board) look a lot better.
Is there a way in which the boards can be secured without nailing?
Should the PVC be the same thickness (15mm) as the wood it's replacing?
Should joints be glued and capped or just capped?
Thanks
F
