How to create this type of ceiling stipple?

I am 99% sure that the stipple on top image is created using Artex and stipple Roller. this stipples are more pointier.

Does anyone know how to create the same stipple on the bottom image? what material and what tool? this stipples are not pointier than the stipple on the top image.

You can use a stipple brush. Depending on how spikey you want the finish just thin the artex down with water. Probably best to do some test patches on some old hardborad or plaster board.
