How to make a front cover for radator?

Hi I am a real DIY novice and need some ideas on how to make a front cover for a radiator that is set into a plater board wall.

Sometimes it is better to buy and adapt to size.

Looking around the edges of the recess I think there was a cover but Lindsey wants to change it, so out of sight is out of mind.

What do you refer too? can only see the rough edge of plastering bead?

It's never had a cover. The opening is square but my camera skills are pi..ed! the opening is 73cm x 73cm.

So what’s look are you after? Metal ? Chrome? Brass ? Painted?

It`s not a great place to put a radiator to start with little air flow so any ideas you may have should consider that.

Something cheap and cherrful thatcan be painted. Or does the lack of air flow mean it should be left uncovered?

Air flow will be fine , angle top has been installed to encourage heat to escape.Heat creates air flow.
This would need a simple timber frame around to give you correct dimensions.

which can be clipped into a basic wood frame clued/screwed to opening .
