I'm going to lay a Vinyl click system such as Polyflor Camaro Loc or Amtico Click on what used to be a parquet floor. Initially I was going to lay directly on to the parquet on the basis that it has a DPC and is flat and solid, but I've lost my nerve.
It seems like the common option is to rip up the parquet and then make up the levels using 15mm WBP. Having looked at the price of the stuff (~£400 for the area I'm looking at), I wonder if there's another option that will suit a concrete floor better?
Liquid screed would blow the budget. Are there any man made products intended for situations where you only need the water resistance and non-compression characteristics of the WBP rather than structural strength for spanning joists?
Thanks
