My girlfriend has over the years collected a lot of soft toys, one of which is a genuine Stieff teddy bear. Unfortunately the room we have been storing them in has collected a serious amount of mould and everything in the room is beginning to smell mouldy.
Although there are no visible mould stains my girlfriend thinks she will have to throw these toys out as if they are moved the mould could contaminate other rooms.
I would really like to save them from being thrown out as some of them have very sentimental value to her and she will be upset to see them go.
Is there any way they can be treated to remove all traces of mould spores and stop them from contaminating everything else if moved into a mould free room?
Most of them are not machine washable so washing them like clothes is not an option.
On a side note, is there any way to remove mould from a cd / dvd without damaging it?
Thanks in advance.
