We have just had a cultured marble fireplace fitted and have noticed that silicone is still present in parts. Can anyone tell me what would be the safest product to use to remove please without scratching or staining?

Silicone remover. Stocked next to the silicone (Big diy shed Q & B) in the same sort of tube but only half the length. And no, I can't say its the safest (how would I know without having used them all !), only that I have used it and it worked.

Thanks.
I got most of the marks off at weekend, but there was one stubborn patch. Unfortunately I chose the wrong product to tackle it and it looks like I've taken the colour out of the marble - you can see where the product has run down
I've just been reading that it can be 'polished out' by a professional using a buffer and automotive polish. My son is a body shop technician and uses a buffer in his work. Am I naive in thinking that he may be able to restore the lustre?

If he can't you can always disinherit him.

Thanks for the vote of confidence
I think I'll leave it as it is for now ;)
