I've just discovered that during second fixing, fixing skirting boards in specific, my chippie friend, when in a rush, had accidentally drilled a neat hole through my recently boxed-in new plastic soil pipe.

Having discovered the hole (soaking plaster was the clue) I've cut the plaster away and now want to repair that neat hole in the soil pipe near ground level. However I've no clue about what compound is appropriate to repair/seal the hole. Please can anyone offer advice?

Any replies much appreciated.

Best to dry and ensure it will not be used for a few hours and use evostick or any other plastic glue to fix a plastic patch over it. Could use sandpaper to roughen the surface for even better adhesion.

Even good cloth reinforced silver duck tape will probably last for ever.

Couple of options. Get a piece of 110mm pipe, cut a square out of it and glue it over the hole as a 'patch' with solvent weld adhesive. Gap filling cement is another. Could even fit a strap boss with a plug in it, but seems drastic, depends on size of hole....
