How to test a fan on a Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior

I popped it!

changed the 10R resistor for a new one and it blew it and the 3A mains fuse straight away, the drivers must be shorted. need to scrape off some of the green coating so i can read all the chip numbers then test/replace.

bearings are nice and smooth now though ; )
