Hi there - would appreciate some advice please...We are considering doing a loft conversion on our 60's bungalow to create 2 bedrooms and an ensuite. We know the current pitch isn't steep enough so will need to remove the old truss roof and replace with a new one of wider span. (we also plan to extend out wards to make this possible)
We have had a quote for the new trusses but could someone advise roughly how much a roofer would charge to put on the new roof, insulate, felt and re-tile (basic concrete tiles) please? The roof will be roughly 13.5m long, 8.5m wide with a front L shape of 7m wide and 2.5m long. pitche approx 45 degrees.
As we're trying to cost up and assess feasibility I'd also love to know of any hidden costs we should consider and anyone elses experience of this kind of job please! Many thanks.
