Hello

I have searched the forum but can't quite find the same problem for my exact boiler. Once someone has run the hot tap for a while it struggles to provide hot water again. It runs hot for a short time ( to fool you into getting under the shower) then starts running cold. You have to turn it on and off several times before it starts to behave.
Could this be the diverter valve? BTW it had a new plate to plate about 3 months ago.
Many thanks

More likely to be the pump proving switch is not being reliably operated.

A competent boiler engineer would be able to deal with this but unfortunately many are rather struggling when faced with this problem.

Thanks guys, my mate who is a gas safe engineer originally changed the plate but he does seem to jump to conclusions and I don't want to pay for bits that I then don't need. Maybe time to replace...

If you don't concede to the idea of regular servicing from a regular competent service engineer, you'll be back with the same problem on your new boiler before long.

So did the new plate solve the problem then?

I clean them rather than replacing as that's cheaper for the customer!

You need someone who is competent with that model and not someone who is a "mate".

Hi Tony, I'm not entirely sure the plate improved the hot water when fully on, ie filling a bath. We only moved in in Feb so unsure of boiler history etc. yes you're right, I prob need an ideal man as my 'mate' who is a self emp plumbing and heating man doesn't always fill me with confidence when diagnosing problems.
Thanks again.

Most were sold under the makers Biasi name so better to look for someone specialises in Biasi boilers...

However someone who is competent with boilers is likely to be competent on any make. They are all boilers!
